Thermal conductivity of Silicon is 5 times as of sapphire (170:35), it has good heat dissipation, good performance, longer life and more reliability.
Silicon substrate LED chip irradiate light on single side with focused beam, good directionality and long range; while Sapphire chip irradiate light on 5 sides with scattered light and non concentrated beam.
Silicon substrate LED has good directionality and it can withstand high current and also high reliability, it is very suitable for lighting applications, such as vehicle headlamps, motorcycle lamp, searchlight, LED road lamps, and indoor lighting such as down lights, spotlights, PAR lamps, track light etc.
