New energy automobile is booming
Referring to the production and sales volume from Jan. to Aug. of the year 2015 publicized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association of Automobile Manufactures, China¡¯s automobile production and sales increment speed shows a continuous reduction, among which the sales leveled off compared to the same months of the year 2014, while the production reduced slightly. However, new energy automobile is booming while China¡¯s car market is suffering gloom.
According to statistics, production of new energy automobile in Aug. is 21303, and sales of that is 18054, with respective growth rates of 290% and 350%. Among these, production and sales of pure electric autos are respectively 13121 and 12085 with growth rates of 380% and 610%; production and sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are respectively 8182 and 5969 with growth rates of 200% and 160%.
Rapid increment of mini-sized new energy automobile
Recently, several large new-energy passenger vehicle enterprises publicized their sales statistics. The sales of BYD, JAC, and BAIC BJEV show a blowout increment. What is the most remarkable is the rapid growth of mini-sized new energy auto. Take ZD pure electric auto for instance, the accumulated sales from Jan. to Aug. reached up to 7622, occupying 10% of domestic new energy automobile market, which takes the third place in the ranking list of sales of China¡¯s new energy automobile.

There is always a consensus that market of mini-sized pure electric automobile is promising. What unexpected is the rapid growth occurred so fast. Back to April this year, sales of pure electric passenger vehicles was 5155, among which A00-class vehicles took a proportion of 52%. A00-class vehicles become absolute main products of pure electric passenger vehicles.
Market demand over 100 million
As early as in the year of 2014, statistics showed the market demand of mini-sized electric automobiles that mainly meet the requirements for markets of rural area and small towns can reach up to 100 million to 150 million. From present view, besides the above mentioned market demand, demand from urban market is increasing, too. Statistics shows that most people living in urban area drive 30 to 50 kilometers each day. People who drive over 50km per day are less than 30%, while those who drive below 30km are around 30%. Above all, 85% of the vehicles driving on road have only one passenger¡ªthe driver.
Obviously, fuel vehicles are not necessarily needed for the above trip mode, since endurance of mini-sized pure electric automobiles can absolutely meet the requirements for daily trip in cities. Take ZD for instance, its longest endurance distance has reached 180km, which is very suitable for city commuting and short distance trip.
What more important¡ªcost advantages of purchasing and using
Mini-sized electric automobiles aim at rising markets, which requires more product advantages. The advantages should include both purchasing cost and using cost. Still take ZD for instance, guide price made by manufacturer for 2015 ZD D2 is 158,800 RMB, while final purchase price is 49,800 RMB after state subsidies, local subsidies, and manufacturer subsidies (price variances exit due to different subsidy policies in each city). Moreover, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicized a catalog for the fourth batch of vehicle purchase tax-free new energy auto models. ZD appears on the list, which means customers also enjoy vehicle purchase tax-free treatment.

Meanwhile, ZD mini-sized pure electric automobiles have extremely low use-cost. For instance, electricity consumption per 100km of ZD D2 is 8 KW¡¤h. Converting it into RMB is about four yuan.
To keep on ranking in the top list, except for the advantages of ¡°mini¡±, mini-sized pure electric automobile must have unique characteristics and added value. ZD electric autos do a good job on this point of view. Based on insights to the markets and accurate forecast to future traffic trend, ZD defined the concept of ¡°mini-trip¡± at the very beginning of design.
